Paul, I know you said no phone messages, but South Street's going up in smoke. We'll have to meet at the subway station.

You should use both SpyBot and AdAware, they catch different things. I recommend Avast! for antivirus, but I don't personally use any - gives you a false sense of security and slows down your machine :(

Hehe..i have all 3 installed currently. And i think Avast has been the least heavy anti-virus on the system. Its free and doesnt slow down the computer as much as Norton.
My computer was getting a bit slow, so i was worried.Turns out it was the Spybot Teatimer process..which doesnt really do much..so ive uninstalled it :).

I personally have Comodo for all my things.

It is annoying at first, but as soon as you tell it what's what, it's ok.

I've been still using AVG 8, for my scans. But I did a custom install and have it set up so it doesn't screw with my patience when I don't want it to. I only use it when I want to scan a file, instead of all that nonsense crap it does. Also for fun when I'm bored and planning to go out I'll run Norton's online scan... everyone once in a blue moon...

My firewall is the trusty Zone Alarm, and I also have SpyBot, AdAware, but also Super AntiSpyWare since there is one piece of adware crap if you are unlucky enough to get it like I was is the only program that removes it...

Also my Firefox settings are to delete everything, history cookies, everything each time i close the program! And when you sign into places never allow to save your password and crap...

That's all that I can think of at the moment cause I'm hungry... need food...

malwarebytes all the way. of course its only good if you know what you are doing, as it does not give you live or realtime protection.

At the moment I use AVG8 for my antivirus, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware for anti spyware/malware, And Zonealarm for my firewall. It all works quite nicely. Only problems I have are that Malwarebytes' as to be updated manually instead of automatically doing it itself. Zonealarm is very helpful but I get annoyed when its pop up notifications come up while I'm playing a game.
