I can understand most of the points that have been raised in this "discussion" and why it's causing irritation. Discussion is healthy and Metche and I are open to suggestions from all of the team. In this instance the decision for or against will be decided by Metche when she gets back from holiday.

In general we do stick to the originals as much as we can, although sometimes they are so basic we need to improvise or we just add a bit of our own interpretation into our work, alterations which are fine. We stick by the originals so that the game still feels like Deus Ex. Yes, it may borrow heavily from various genres, but what we produce needs to feel like Deus Ex when we are done with it.

I've asked for the thread to be locked as I feel there is no further benefit in discussing this matter until Metche returns to us.
