Hey there, I just installed HDTP and a problem has just started.
When using the Deus Ex launcer V3 from http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/ my voiced sections run fine, but when using HDTP the voices either start too late, end too early, or both.
A common problem for playing the game on newer systems as I understand. T.T
But I'm wondering how can I fix this and still use HDTP? Like I said, playing Deus Ex normally works fine, but with HDTP the problem crops up. Any help is appreciated. I've tried a lot of different fixes and nothing's worked... so here I am.

Rename HDTP.exe to something else (HDTP.exe.old for example), then copy Kentie's exe and rename it to HDTP.exe. Then run HDTP with the shortcut just like before.

That worked, thanks, and now a funny story.
I spent about 6 hours running through hoops trying what you said.
I did exactly what you said, and it worked perfectly, the problem was the game didn't look dark anymore. When I used the HDTP shortcut on the desktop the game was really dark, which, silly me, I thought was part of the texture pack. Then I read that I should go compare boxes on the docks at the start of the game. And I did... and yea... the brightness(darkness?) wasn't part of the texture pack.. it was me being dumb. ;p
But shortening that, thank you, it worked.

I followed these instructions and the dialogue still cuts out early for me. not game breaking, the voice acting isn't top notch or anything, but it is a little annoying when I try to play without subs. Any other pointers?

Wow, I'm not sure. You'll have to give more info on the system, software, and installation method.

Sounds good to me. I'm not a Win7 guy though.
Anyone know if motherboards' dynamic overclocking messes with Deus Ex's timings?

Managed to fix this by editing the DeusEx.ini that I was actually USING. Also got Shifter and New Vision Working. Then I added Deus Ex Enhanced 2.0 and the game looks pretty snazzy. Definitely not even close to on par with modern games, but it doesn't make my eyes bleed anymore from all those sharp pixels...
