Merging HDTP and original JC Denton models?

So I've just recently downloaded the HDTP beta files that included the updated character models and textures of JC, Paul, Simons, etc. While I really love the work that's been done on JC's model, the face just doesn't seem right to me - it's as if I don't feel like I'm actually playing as JC Denton. Thus, I'm curious as to whether or not it would be possible to replace the HDTP head mesh and texture with the original one, while leaving everything else from the HDTP model in place. I've never attempted to mod an Unreal game in the past, so I'm really ignorant about all this stuff.

Oh god no.

Animating meshes for the era of unreal engine that DX is made in is.......awful.

Just..awful. Sorry.

If you really don't like the face, why not just revert to the original model? I added the ability to do that pretty much for exactly this reason.

Oh, that's too bad. I would just revert to the original entirely, but I really like the updates that were done on the rest of JC's model.
