Re: Webcams Compromised: mass data mining
Snowden announced at great personal risk how NONE of our data on the internet is no longer private anymore, let alone hacking... Google "Prism data collection" it's in the US. But it affects anyone outside the US who has say Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, any Apple stuff, and the list goes on and on. Can't remember what the one in the UK is called... but they have something similar. In the US wiretapping your home or work phone is illegal without a warrant, however they can basically wiretap our private emails, our voIP calls, and so on.Cybernetic pig wrote:http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/f ... mentpage=4

Then there's the Five Eyes, the surveillance partnership between Canada, the U.S., Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand, which collaborates to detect threats. (*ahem* another way to justify spying on their citizens and being creepy)
Yahoo hacked 2x this year so far Which is why I switched my email account, getting tired of changing my complex passwords and learning a new one all over again. Oh and the cherry on top Yahoo didn't even send a customer wide email of the hack to prompt them to change their passwords, I had to read it on the news (which I rarely do).
Who we are is but a stepping stone to what we can become...
