The Music Thread
I figured I'd create a music thread so it'd get large and I could claim to be the creator. Anywho, this thread is meant for music discussion. So post what you're listening to or what you like.
I'll start off with some John Coltrane. Listening Giant Steps (album), one of my favorites. Up next I'll be playing some Frank Sinatra then followed by some DJ Shadow.

I'm pretty big on A Perfect Circle at the moment. I bought their two latest albums (out of, well, three, but still).

I'm very much into the (kinda weird) stuff "anticon" produces, which is an independent collective located in the US. They always sound quite fascinating and unique but don't stick to only one style or genre.
Nice examples can be found here:

...you see, I'm a fanboy
Sage Francis (is a non permanent anticon-artist, He's into spoken word & indie hiphop) :

(And now to) something totally different, I recently discovered:

Besides that I'm very open minded to music I love Rockabilly and good, oldfashioned Swing.
Sorry for the huge post, it's because I'm getting so excited by this music

Me too, only I probably go slightly more towards pop than you (I have a Beach Boys CD ), and my opposite pole is alternative/prog metal rather than death.

Haha, funny thing, That Guy. A friend sent me a bunch of different songs in the metal genre after I'd gushed over Metalocalypse. Finntroll's Trollhammeren was one of the songs she sent my way, and I think that song is awesome! I'm going to buy one of their CD's once I get off my ass and start making more money.
