Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Well the PS2 version cinematics are nice (you can watch them on youtube in decent quality) they are unfortunately shorter then the PC Versions with some cut content.
I would think it would be pretty hard to add them to the PC version. The only cinimatics I've ever seen have been in-game ones simply using map files.
Well the PS2 ones are actual video files.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Time for our next visit in Hell's Kitchen.
Some things have changed.
Is there a wall like this in the secret room of your brother on PC?
Blowed up Osgood building looks cool.
One glitch in Smugglers hideout.
Meeting with Stanton Dowd is happening Osgoods cellar, not outside.
The steets are filled with these things. The alarms, like portable version.
Don't remember the PC to had these.
Next time shipyard. Oh boy, looks strange on PS2.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
I got lost on the PC shipyard because I thought it would be the same as the PS2 version.
Paul, I know you said no phone messages, but South Street's going up in smoke. We'll have to meet at the subway station.
Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Played through the shipyard, ship and the NY cemetery.
Tried to keep the pictures down this time.
The crane works in different way on PS2.
The sewers are almost the same, but again long underwater route is an option, good swimming skills or aqualung needed.
It is really easy to jump out of the base area, so you can see these unmapped areas.
Weird that they still put tons of crates there, so you can get out also...
The ship is surrounded with this pier, not like on PS.
Bot is patrolling here also.
The control room inside the ship is bigger on PS2.
Don't remember these kind of ducts on PC either, there is spider bots also.
The main hangar area sucks compared to PC. Big but empty.
The cemetery area is almost the same.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Played through the first parts of Paris.
This is alos first time when I have to say, that PS2 version is same than PC.
They didn't change Paris at all. Still the game has its own look, but all the places are similar.
The first building, where yous start is same, so no pictures.
Also the catacombs and the map of that place is the same.
The entrance to the catacombs is little bit different at least.
The metro station has these boards, that i don't remember from PC.
Maybe some one can confirm if it the same or not.

Just checked and both are exactly the same as the PC version (although a little more high-res).
Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?

It still looks the same to me.
But maybe the difference is hard too see in mere screenshots and has to be seen ingame.

Re: Emulating PS2 Deus Ex - The Conspiracy
Had time today, so played the Paris Streets. On PS2 they are divided again, there is multiple roads under the streets in sewers, but really nothing to see. The streets are bigger and hold much more people than on PC. I counted maybe ten cops and ten MJ12 troops in the area. The hotel, cafeteria, bakery, apartments and the nightclub remain almost the same on PS2, but they are in different locations than on PC.
The cafeteria area:
Theatre and some streets on the second block.
12 guys protected the security post... haha! It went to massacre, the cops got angry.
Next time the Villa:
