Triple monitors

Post by Phobosares »

Hey guys I currently have three monitors on NVidia surround with two GTX 460's. I am having a little luck getting Deus Ex to accept all three monitors via custom resolution, however the game looks super zoomed in and it feels like I am looking around with a magnifying glass..

IS there anyone that has a solution?

I have absolutely no idea, however, isn't there a third party program by Dopefish that has widescreen and multiple monitor support for games such as DX?

Wouldn't you need a HUGE POV for that?

According to this page:
http://www.widescreengamer.com/d/deus_ex.html
Now open the file user.ini in a text editor, and find the following lines:

DesiredFOV=
DefaultFOV=

Set these to 100 (default is 90 with a 4:3 resolution)
Presumably you'd want to go a bit beyond 100, as you have 3 monitors. Perhaps 180? Also use the OTPUIfix, if you're not using it to get rid of the zoomed in effect.

Ahah! I figured it out. There is a third party executable replacer that contains custom resolution and custom FOV. The FOV has to be set by dividing the width by the height to get a ratio that is entered without a decimal. In my case the FOV is 4.982 (4982 without decimal.)

Three screen resolution: 4484 x 900

Holy Crap! That doesn't look too bad. I'll be sticking to one monitor though.

Well, at least you're never getting shot in the back without you seeing it, that looks pretty awesome :)

Which launcher are you using? Kentie's?

I tried playing Deus Ex at 1080X1920 resolution once (i.e. 1080p, but vertically) - it was strange.

Interesting setup with three monitors - but I'd find the edges in between them annoying. I got annoyed enough when maps would span across my two 19" monitors at work (a problem thankfully fixed by them randomly upgrading me to a 27" monitor - I have no idea why)
