Thanks for the DXDiag. That actually helped quite a bit.. I looked up information on your audio device ("SoundMAX Digital Audio", which I've personally never heard of before, I'm assuming an onboard), and it would seem that there's been other potential issues with it that other people have reported ...

I'm the guy who made the music addon, and personally I feel the same way, music is very important to me. That's actually fixed in the latest version (those DLLs as well. not sure if you have it yet). It was a bug that only occured if the ogg player loaded with an intro map.
