Re: What are you playing?

What might confuse you (and certainly did me) is the upper and lower layer in the center zone. I had to look a long time until I found landmarks distinct enough to allow recognizing the area. This lack of distinct landmarks makes it difficult to orient yourself in this map. The other problem is the ...

Does not compute.
Overpowered + no_ammo = useless

Re: DLC for HR now available on steam

Theoretically yes, but practically they break in >50% of cases. Out of 10 arrows I managed to retrieve 1 all others broke. Useless weapon is useless although overpowered as hell.

Re: Project 2027 - News?

Oh, fair enough. Didn't notice that but I never quick save so maybe it's an issue with that. @whoever can't find the key: Forom the starting elevator, go right to the small break room and find the daracube on a table in there. It gives you an elevator code. Then go out and straight across the hall ...

Re: Human Revolution/DE/IW/TNM

Hard? How? Games of that franchise bored me to death since it's too easy. I dunno, the one on the Wii was hard as fuck!! I mean, obviously playing it such that you are trying to keep everyone alive at the end, which you don't have to do, but still... I mean, hard is not the right word for it, requi...

Re: Project 2027 - News?

@Dragon What did you mean 'you end up at a random place on the map'? :? Imagine this. You are in front of the weapon shop. I knocked out the cops as I robbed the store. So I walk out towards the plaza. There I decide to quick-save. Now I quick-load. I'm now standing a couple of meters away from the...

Re: Project 2027 - News?

Paris only so far... but the feelings are very mixed. I can understand weapon skills but it's just beyond funny if you can't hit an elephant from 1m distance using an entire clip. There seems to be also bugs with the police and with loading (it loads the state... but you end up at a random place on ...

Hard? How? Games of that franchise bored me to death since it's too easy. But it's true this franchise is lacking any RPG element worth mentioning.

Re: What games do you annually resurrect ala Deus Ex??

Sorry to decline but too boring. I used to play PoA a lot as well as AHL2 (back then AHL/TS) and I even had my fill of SF for some time. There are very little MP mods for HL2 which are worth it. Most of them are boring CS clones but worse. The most you get out of SP mods. Some classy stuff there. ED...

Re: What games do you annually resurrect ala Deus Ex??

None. But STALKER definitely would be a candidate if I had to. I don't count HL2 as the game sucks and I only pull it out when I see a new mod which is interesting.

Re: The Human revolution thread, now with 233213% more spoil

This is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about BTW. The player, when presented with an in-fiction inconsistency, will quickly jump on the chance to explain it with out-of-fiction concepts. He won't start trying to integrate the superagents lack of firearms skills at the beginning of the game w...

Re: The Human revolution thread, now with 233213% more spoil

You can try to make the tutorial along the way to ease this somewhat. That said I would never bad-mouth a story of a game due to the tutorial. People know how to read a book, they don't need an introduction on how to turn a page. In games though you need to be taught how the interaction works.

Mass Effect 2, for instance: If you lose Miranda during the suicide mission and do Jacobs loyalty mission afterwards, suddenly she's back to life for a cutscene. I will bet you that you're not going to find that kind of error in the best sci fi novel of 2010....but it's in the best sci-fi game of 2...

Re: Sol's Bar closed

There's no need by the way to get this upgrade from him. In TNM there are a lot of upgrades if you care to look around. So missing one or two doesn't allow you to fully upgrade most augmentation slots which by itself should not be a problem. See if you can find all upgrades legally allowed in your p...
