Re: New Visions won't work for me on XP64
I tried the 32bit version instead of the 64bit version and reinstalled the runtime libraries - and I got Kentie's program running, so thatnks for that. However, that doesn't solve my main dilemma of why the lovely textures aren't loading in the first place ? I will go through Kenties program and try...

Re: New Visions won't work for me on XP64
Yes, I Googled for the problem and came upon the same solution before I read Kentie's thing, I did it, needless to say that with my luck it didn't change a thing. The DX 10 renderer that comes with the package, it IS for DX10 only isn't it, or is it just the filename name that gave me that impressio...

New Visions won't work for me on XP64
It could be that it IS working, but my in game screens look pretty bland compared to the online screenshots, so i'm thinking that the textures are NOT loading ? See screenshot below of official screen vs my screen from Unatco HQ. Mine looks like default textures. Image1.jpg: http://www.imageupload.o...

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
Yes I know, but DX cheats are so easy to enter that it is easier just to use opensesame rather than ponce around with more than 1 lockpick or toolkit. If I hadn't used cheats I wouldn't have even made it out of the apartment at the start of the game. Those Security Guards drained my leg energy to bl...

that guy wrote:try typing

Typing this will save the command to the INI file, or will I have to retype the above each new session ??

Re: Hot key cheats don't seem to work ?
I added the relevant lines to any and all copies of TNMUser.ini and also any copies of User.ini lying around anywhere off main DeusEx folder just to be sure. Doesn't work for me though.

Hot key cheats don't seem to work ?
In vanilla Deus Ex I could hotkey the cheats ie o=opensesame etc etc, but when I try to do the same in TNM they don't seem to have any effect and I have to still manually type them into the chat box.
Is there a procedure I need to do to make hotkeying cheats work ??

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
It was probably caused by me using the FLY cheat to get up to the area where the computers are. I flew up past an elevator platform that was stuck in the up position and jut went from office to office until I came to the first one with a non-standard PC in there, hacked it, and uploaded the bad guy....

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
Thanks for all your help guys, but I gave up on that PC's copy of TNM and instead installed it on my Quad Core (and ported the save game over). It runs lightening fast, and loads levels almost immediately - although Deus Ex doesn't seem to like Vista much as it crashes often. Weird thing. I went to ...

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
Hmmmm, okay, after a while playing in OPEN GL mode I have come to the conclusion that it is too much trouble, it keeps crashing or freezing. Back to DirectX. Pity.

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
The only one I altered was the one in the DeusEx System folder, so I guess that is the one that loads when you play vanilla Deus Ex ??? I seem to have got round the problem somewhat by forcing DeusEx to load using the OPENGL drivers, it is fast now - but that could be because when you switch modes y...

Re: Games runs VERY slowly
Is this the INI in the deusex/system folder, or in the tnm/system folder ?
I have to admit I had been editing the ones in the deusex/system folder. Should I be looking in the TNM/system INI instead ?
