Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced

Hello, all. Long time since I've been here; good to know OTP still exists. I'm nearing the end of my first play-through of this mod (v 8; must grab the newer version). Enjoying it so far, but I've just come across an odd glitch. I’ve retrieved the UC schematics and have met Savage on the roof. I sav...

Re: TNM OST!

I finally managed to download this a couple of days ago (damned stupid puny data allowance + a couple of previous failed attempts = annoyance) and much fiddling later (I've finally discovered something VLC won't play, plus four or five failed burning attempts = further annoyance) I've listened to my...

Re: Your most stupid death

I've recently picked up an in-progress game (after being away from TNM for a while). Just now I managed to die near ABI. I chose to deal with the wolves with a molotov and as I was watching them burn I moved around to a better viewing angle...and fell into a crevasse. :roll: Truly dumb.

Re: Goat Temple Secret...

Maybe the secret doesn't even exist. Maybe it's an elaborate ruse designed to get us to play the game over and over and over again until we can recite every line of dialogue from all possible affiliations and have killed every character with every means available.

Re: Best TNM weapon or object?

ZP's rifle - the sniper rifle was / is my favourite DX weapon (always the first weapon / skill set I max out) and the TNM version is even cooler;

the flamethrower - a much more useful weapon in TNM;

the vortex grenade - gibtastic. :mrgreen:

Re: Curious...

I figured it has to be just a typo (and thought about dropping a note into Hassat's patch thread), but one never knows. It's out by quite a margin (1888 vs 1782) so I kinda wondered if there was anything else going on. As one does when playing DX or TNM. 8)

Curious...

I cranked up TNM yesterday and continued a game I started a while back. While wandering about in Yardbomb's I happened to read one of the books in the room with the floating head and the skull. I then decided to read the other books...and came across this oddity: Book screenshot What particularly ca...

Re: Let's award the Louis Pan award for TNM

There isn't anyone in TNM who irritates me in quite the same way and to quite the same extent as the Pan twerp (for a game character he was quite insufferable). There are a few characters on the Ling level (Ling being that irritating woman who kept running after JC to tell him he wasn't allowed back...

Re: TNM Developer Commentary videos on ModDB

I never found that secret with the dead WC guy; how many people found it first time round? I found the dead guard on my first run (like JC_Helios says, if it's a painting you frob it), but I didn't find Treskton until my second playthrough. Watching that vid reminded me how much I dislike the playe...

Re: Your most stupid death

Well, for the record my single most stupid death was when I was crushed by the elevator at Smuggler's. I pressed the button and just stood there. :roll: Crunch. The fact I'd completed the whole level and part of the previous level without saving just added to the sheer stupidity of it all. Of course...

I wouldn't presume to claim to be as thorough a TNM player as you, Hassat, but next time around I'll try to remember to make some notes and post them here. :D

Re: Using the SDK

^ & ^^ Thanks to both of you. That seems to have done the trick. The game breaks!? In what manner? And what does the editor's log say when you try to open our maps? First time around, I ended up with the weird TNM files in my DX directory that caused the virtual memory error I reported in my first p...

Re: Using the SDK

This seems a good place to ask something I've wondered about for a while. Probably a dumb question but no matter. Whenever I open a DX map in the SDK, there's no problem. I can wander around the map and see what's what, close everything, then play the game without any issues at all. Whenever I try t...

Re: Help with pretty much everything

Go here and try the suggested fixes- or better still, download the tool and run it. Hopefully your problem will be fixed. It worked for me when I first installed DX on this PC.
