Re: HDTP beta

Just played a few minutes of the first map.
The NSF troopers seem to have a gap between their boots and the legs when you are 20-30 meters away.

Re: HDTP beta

I might be mistaken, but from the image revel uploaded it doesn't look like a slightly darker hand, but rather like the hand texture shows up in front of the pistol for him. :-k

Re: HDTP beta

Thanks to the Team for the great work!

Too bad I won't have much time to play it in the next weeks, but on the other hand, maybe I tehn get to enjoy a final version.

So, again, thank you!

Re: Another Update Request

Hey, this is great news to read!

Did you decide whether it will be a public or closed beta?

Re: Whats new Guys?

I doubt HDTP fits the bill for a Kickstarter campaign. Also, wouldn't that probably lead to legal problems with Sqeenix/Eidos when transforming a non-profit fan-made mod into a for-profit Kickstarter (at least it will be hard to argue that it's still non-profit)? I guess what the project at this poi...

Re: HDTP scheduled for Archival on ModDB

Ah well, PR doesn't mean that you are forced to create a twitter feed (@HDTP: just implemented manderleys "sitting on the toilet" anim), churn out weekly updates on your blog, or dress your dog up as Gunther Herman and set him loose in town. I guess what many people (myself included, I won't lie abo...

Re: HDTP scheduled for Archival on ModDB

Now, I guess unless you write moddb about it, there won't be any confirmation if the guy is legit. If not, you at least have to give him some credit for his creativity in this (understandable) attempt to get some info about the project. For anyone who is not in the lucky "inner circle" or somewhat f...

Re: Merry Christmas! (Progress roundup)

Iinteresting summary, thanks a lot!. It should be probably mentioned that DaveW has made a couple of posts, too, stating that there is much more going on behind the scenes of HDTP (progress-wise) than what is posted on the forum. Unfortunately the team choose to do the project in a somewhat "fan-unf...

Re: Playing Deus Ex for the First Time

I think the main reason for games getting shorter is the change in audience and the change of the industry behind it. Let's face it, the average gamer is no longer a 16 year old nerd who has enough free time to spend entire afternoons in front of the pc for weeks in a row. Furthermore, now that gami...

Re: Hello. There's something I'd quite like to say.

What should DDL be pissed about? Remarks about the quality? Well, you can't please everyone, but I guess the majority would agree that the quality of the released parts is very good, so no reason to get upset about that. If it's about accusations of not seeing any progress, he is the only one workin...

I seriously doubt you can talk the mod into being alive or dead. ;)
Whatever its current status, it's not decided by the posts of random people from the internets.

BUT. With those taken as givens, the science is at least not terrible , and is relatively internally consistent. With the exception of the whole idea of anticipating human evolution by looking at mitochondrial DNA (or any other type of DNA), implying that our future evolution is in any way hardcode...

Re: The Human revolution thread, now with 233213% more spoil

Did anyone see this: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/15/star-wars-ads-find-their-way-into-deus-ex-human-revolution-load/ Discussion has been boiling up again over at the Eidos Forums, but so far most people seem to not have seen something like that. When I checked yesterday after the update and this ...
