Awesome story and diagnostic!
It seems to me it's DX' strange friend/foe characters' behaviors popping up again. In a mad killing mood.

Re: Patch 1.0.3
To sleepy47 : The setup is like this : - the two DX9 (.int and .dll) files are in the "System" folder of Deus Ex. In TNM\System\TNM.ini, you must use : GameRenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice (in the "Engine.Engine" section) Also, make sure that the target of the Windows shorcut you use to launch ...

Re: Maan ShadowCode was flippin' tough.
Well you know I reckoned, we'd already so blatantly stolen that whole concept from System Shock, we might as well go all the way and acknowledge it explicitly ;) I think I've missed the part 'look at you hacker'. I'll do joyfully the whole ShadowCode thing again, then! @Jonas : you're awe...

Re: Voice Acting - Discuss Here
After reading the last pages, I must say that I couldn't play without the voice acting in TNM. Almost every other mods for DX are so 'quiet' with only text for the characters. That may appear strange, but in a DX mod, I can't stand it (in a NWN mod, I don't mind it). So, even if I can enjoy 'quiet' ...

Re: Maan ShadowCode was flippin' tough.
Yup, same as Pointman. The level design was perfect (and all the other departments : music, etc...)
To me, ShadowCode is a terrifying fun house even more enjoyable at night!
It reminded me SHODAN (from System Shock 2) right from the start, as it was intended.

Re: Testers wanted for DXOgg.dll fix
Same problem happened to me with latest the "DXOgg.dll" (JimSucks version). So, I couldn't get to the space station.
Replaced with the old DXOgg.dll (TNM's original version) : no more error : the space shuttle demo plays fine. I arrived to the space station.

Re: Testers wanted for DXOgg.dll fix
now I've just f***d up my last two hours of gameplay with a bad quicksave. It's in a little room ( where you can download ABI's archives and play tetris on the room's computer ) where game freezes happen a lot . When I load the quicksave, all my body parts are in 'yellow' health (they should b...

Re: Testers wanted for DXOgg.dll fix
In fact, that's the case. It is best viewed in windowed mode, when the error displays, and the game still runs until I click on "OK". and BTW : from time to time, TNM freezes. The music plays, but TNM is "not responding". No error box, just a freeze. It didn't happened before. And it happens quite o...

Re: Testers wanted for DXOgg.dll fix
I should say that around since I was on the firestaff mission underground the crashes are back to their old rate (wich is : quite often on reload / while moving around). No more crashes when I enter the PDX building, though. I applied the 2nd new DXOgg.dll file back when I had just cleared the Shado...

Re: Cant Enter Lama Temple!!?
I ran into this error once : my music player was active, with one of TNM's .ogg file open, albeit the playback was stopped. I closed it and TNM worked fine.
So make sure you don't have one of TNM's music files opened in some software.

Re: Release Party Pooper
What about the VC++ runtime librairies ? -> http://www.offtopicproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1688 Two more ideas : 1.Do you have DEP turned on for everything ? By default, it's only enabled for Windows stuff. It's in Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Settings (under "Performance") ...

Re: Release Party Pooper
did both of you try to delete DeusEx.ini so when you run DeusEx.exe again, it would show the first time run screen (where you can select your 3D renderer) and make a proper DeusEx.ini file ? And if DX crashes, did you try to delete DeusEx.ini and select one of the new renderers ? (the old ones might...

Re: Maan ShadowCode was flippin' tough.
I loved the whole ShadowCode part! I'm gonna do it again in the dark someday. It's a freelin' theme park ruled by a dungeon keeper! =D> Still, the fire room was damn hard. I was half dead, and only jumping like crazy with the level 3 "enhanced legs" augmentation did not set me on fire. But I liked i...
