Re: Unable to get 1920 X 1080 resolution

As I said above, that made no difference.

Unable to get 1920 X 1080 resolution

Hi, This morning, after installing the latest version of the New Vision mod (never tried it before), I then installed the new Deus Ex Nihilum mod - with no problem. Naturally though, this reminded me of TNM - which I hadn't played in ages. However, when I went to play it, there was terrible graphics...

Re: All I get is the 'normal' Deux Ex game

Hi,

The target of the short cut is 'TNM.exe' at 'E:\Games\DeusEx\System'.

Hope that helps!

Thanks,

DANNY

Re: All I get is the 'normal' Deux Ex game

Hi,

Just to let you know that I still can't get TNM to work - whether I click on the desktop icon or not. Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but still no luck. I just get the 'regular' Deus Ex game. Any more ideas?

Thanks,

DANNY

All I get is the 'normal' Deux Ex game

Hi, I've just installed TNM - on XP Home. I have the Game of the Year Edition of Deux Ex - with the high-definition texture pack. Played the whole game through once. Works perfectly. Etc. However, when I go to play TNM I just get the 'normal' Deux Ex game. Am I missing the obvious? Does it start off...

No, as I wouldn't really know how to  . What should I do? As you might have guessed, I'm not particularly clued up on all this sort of stuff.

Hi Jonas,

Well, I gave it a go. 'OpenGL Support' mode still crashes as before - but when I opt for 'Direct3D 9 Support', it works fine. However, so far, I can't tell the difference! However, I've only played the opening level for a few minutes, so maybe the 'eye candy' quotient will increase later.

Hi Trestkon, Thanks for the hot tip. Will I have to edit the 'DeusEx.ini' file (just like with OpenGL Renderer) with the Enhanced Direct3D Renderer? If so, what do I do - the same as before, or different? Thanks, as I'm not entirely sure. (Well, I've just played-and-finished "Deus Ex" for the very f...

Hi Jonas.

I am using an XFX 8800GTS 320mb graphics card (my Tech Specs are in my signature).

No, what is the Enhanced Direct3D Renderer? I thought the whole point was to use OpenGL in order to 'boost' Deus Ex's graphics - or have I missed something?

all the best.

Hi, Just tried the OpenGL Renderer 'mod' - but with no luck, I'm afraid. Read through quite a lot of the stuff on this thread. Followed your advice with regards to altering/configuring the 'deusEx.ini' file (ie, cut-and-pasted the recommended settings). Then opened up DeusEx in Safe Mode, selected O...
