Re: GMDX Art Thread

@Kelkos: Look, I understand you REALLY want to contribute to the project, but being persistent like this and acting like it's a 100% priority that your stuff gets in, is a bit annoying. We need to focus on more important things, like the new installer for instance. If you really want your stuff, I s...

Re: GMDX Art Thread

That's why I suggested to make it a separate weapon that the player CAN pick up, with some slight stat differences to reward the player for exploring, and taking out NPC's that you would otherwise leave alone. Unless you're talking about it reusing the model, which I can understand.

Re: GMDX Art Thread

here https://puu.sh/t1TOe/f02f34679b.bmp In my opinion, you should just remove the stripes and make the handle more rough. Maybe add some blood as well, using one of the HDTP textures, like these. https://puu.sh/t1U8G/823911e96f.zip For future reference, if you want to get textures, models, sounds, ...

That's uh... Exactly what I said. And I never said it was a bad improvement.

Re: Two clans for Deus Ex The Conservatist and Liberal

Bogie. I mean't that conservatists preserve the actual deus ex feel and don't want it to be modified in any way. The vanilla deus ex + HDTP and New Vision is acceptable for conservatists, but for liberals, any mod is free. The cons simply preserve Deus Ex's nostalgic feel. Ah, I see now. In that ca...

Re: Deus Ex 1 Speedrunning thread

I found another, small skip. When you throw the lam at the robot, make sure you still have a sniper rifle (Toss it so the inventory trigger doesn't take away your rifle). Throw down the LAM, and as quickly as possible, shoot at the LAM (This is only possible in GMDX). Also, make sure it's to the lef...

Perhaps, but it's takes more time to do that. Right now, I'm focused on the weapons training.

Re: Two clans for Deus Ex The Conservatist and Liberal

Don't mean to sound rude at all BTW, but 1. Square Enix only made HR and MD. 2. I can see what you're, but the way you present doesn't make that much sense. Every mod is different in there own way. Some mods add changes and improvements to the base game, while others like TNM and Nihilum are complet...

Deus Ex 1 Speedrunning thread

Post in this thread for speedrunning. Training level in GMDX I found a few cool tactics for the gun familiarisation part that might apply to the original game as well. First off, activate both buttons by crouching down and looking right at the bottom edge of the cover. That allows you to have the tw...

Re: GMDX Art Thread

I think it would make sense for it to have "slightly" different stats. Perhaps decreased attack speed, but larger window for more damage (So it doesn't always do the same damage, but a range from 5 to 8 which is randomly picked [Which, depending on the level of skill, becomes less random and more ce...

Re: GMDX Art Thread

I like that idea, actually. Maybe remove the lines on the knife and just make it straight silver. I guess it would be good for the chef in Paris as well. Perhaps it would have slightly more damge toward humans then the regular Combat Knife, but do even more damage towards animals (Karkians, Dogs, Gr...

Re: GMDX Art Thread

I think the texture would fit better in places like the Vandenberg levels (Vandenberg outdoors, Silo, Gas station). It would have to be a flat texture (With some transparency here and there for realism) for it to look natural on a bush.

Re: GMDX Art Thread

The texture is modulated, which is why the whole thing is super transparent (green brightens everything behind it). You'll need to use a masked texture. https://puu.sh/sXEnU/3f2ab5ba12.tga Here's the converted version. https://puu.sh/sXEk6/0bf7d00139.pcx For future reference, when converting a maske...

Re: Has anyone seen this Deus Ex 1 CD design before?

I heard before that stores sold demo versions of the game disguised as the full version at near full price. Either that, or it's some other game or I'm crazy.
