Re: GMDXv9.0 Release
While I'm sad I can't help with maps since they're all done, I'm glad I found out about this mod and got a response on reddit. I haven't had a working computer for about 3 weeks now (bad mobo on arrival) but I'll definitely install this first chance I get.

Re: If you created the ultimate video game, what would it be
I'd really like to do a Bethesda-like FPSRPG, but just better in every way . Maybe instead I would stick to a 40-80 person team and then take 6 years to make it. Have a team of 8 writers at my beck and call, each one paired up with a level designer, a cinematic designer, and a mission scripter. Out...

Re: Help: Anyone experienced with engine code regarding BSP.
First, some link to some installer or anything to get close to the files would he helpful to get started. Can you clarify the situation about the bsp files? Sounds like you guys are able to read them, or isn't this the case? You should probably leverage on work done for hl1/source, found here: http...

Help: Anyone experienced with engine code regarding BSP.
Firstly, this request for help is coming from someone that is inexperienced with the topic. All I know how to do, which I'm sure you guys are aware, is how to create maps in a stable engine with well defined tools. This request goes beyond that, into the actual code of files that are used as maps in...

Re: TNM and UnrealEd > Current Year
@ZeroPresence: My biggest problem with the Llama temple was that the temple part of it was too short, most of the level was a bunch of underground caves that kind of looked similar to each other and were somewhat dull visually. Same, that map kind of got stuck between a rock and a hard place. The r...

Re: TNM and UnrealEd > Current Year
My example is the llama temple, I know that map was a pretty big hit with you and a few of our other guys but man, I was running around in there cringing my face into the atmosphere. There are so many surfaces that are pitch black and shouldn't be, a few outright ugly design choices, too. Like it go...

Re: TNM and UnrealEd > Current Year
Be careful, you are going to look at some kind of work you did and think "what was I thinking, how was that passable!?"

Re: TNM and UnrealEd > Current Year
No problem, like the meme says "every time someone mentions Deus Ex you have to do a playthrough..." same applies to TNM, and I just wanted to go a step further and check out our maps in editor.

TNM and UnrealEd > Current Year
Hey guys, It has been a while since I messed with packages, rebuilding, everything involved with modifying Unreal legacy, really. I thought we released the SDK for all the aspects of the mod on ModDB but turns out everything within was stuff related to things beyond my pay grade and the .u files in ...

FYI for any curious TNM 2.0 users, this isn't being implemented for the update!
There will be *similar* content, though.

Re: How's Life?
I know it sounds like bitching, but I really needed to unload that somewhere, especially since this group understands why someone would want to do crap for a 12 year old game. Aww, you caught my secret reasoning behind this thread! I think it does help a little to unload and we all are indeed prett...

Re: How's Life?
So a forum play is a story started and written by forum members? I did that back on DXE a decade ago. Myself, Ninja and Darkwolf contributed heavily to it even! We set it up to where it took place in a Deus Ex type universe with MJ-12 and everything but with our own characters as the "stars." We did...
