Secret bonus maps?

Re: Secret bonus maps?
Hmm... I think that may be a mistake. We originally meant for there to be three Radish Adventure maps, but the third one wasn't finished in time, so we had to cut that.

Re: Secret bonus maps?
I've wondered for ages how the whole coding thing works? Is it very complicated?
wink wonk

Re: Secret bonus maps?
Well, you know, making the game do what it does...
Did you have to write programs for it, or did you use a program that did it all for you? (this is a noob question I'm sure, but I want to know anyway)

The game is a program. But it comes with other programs that you can use to make content for it (a level editor and a conversation editor). We also made a couple of others. Programming is fairly complicated yeah

Re: Secret bonus maps?
I assume she's talking about scripts... like making new weaponry work, the missionscripts etc. etc.
(my assumption)
Also, sorry, Grammatolatry, for knocking you unconscious, dropping you in the water which ended up killing you...

Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?
Oh wait, I already got one...

Re: Secret bonus maps?
Greetings guys,
I think I may be practicing necromancy here for a third thread but:
The fact that the bonus missions at the end didn't work out is totally my fault. I basically dropped the ball on it and since the majority of TNM work was done I just lost my steam (which actually I sort of mentioned here already.)
Something that really tripped my gears though was mentioned by justanotherfan:
"I'm afraid that asking a TNM developer to add anything to the mod now is like barfing garlic cheese-toast on a vampire."
While comical, that doesn't sit well with me. I for one dislike where the gaming industry as a whole is going and I don't want to be a part of the problem. What I mean is getting a developer to actually do something a player want after release is as you said... like barfing garlic cheese-toast on a vampire. I see Jonas on Skype all the time, I'll probably talk to him, and talk to a bunch of you guys, the fans, which I'm still flattered over that I can actually SAY that phrase btw... and see if I can come up with any goofy or cool TNM related things. Maybe like a fun optional release type of thing.

Re: Secret bonus maps?
Um, post-release support is all well and good, but it's been three years since TNM was released. At this point you can make whatever suggestions you like as a fan and player, but I don't feel that I owe the players anything, personally - things will get done only if we feel like doing them. I don't think that's unreasonable
So if you feel like doing anything, be my guest. If it's not too hard to fit in (which is a challenge considering recording new voice-over is no longer an option) I'll be happy to put it in TNM 1.0.5.

Re: Secret bonus maps?
we're on the same page, I'm a mapper... so I would create additional mapping content.
Just off the top of my head I think I can include that old PDX HQ (before the bombing) I made. Then of course take suggestions from team members and fans alike.

Re: Secret bonus maps?
I don't remember that PDX HQ. Where would it fit in?
You made a level based on that ship in the menu map once. That was pretty cool.

Re: Secret bonus maps?
Oh it wouldn't fit anywhere obviously because at the current time in TNM the building is rubble. But it would be cool to just include for people that like TNM to look at.
I'm tossing around a few ideas in my head about maps that actually could link into the game, but that of course takes some planning and discussing with a bunch of us.
What is everyone's preferred method of communication now? Want to fire up MSN for a good ol' fashion group chat at some point?
