Stand against one of the walls, turn your side on the direction you need to go and keep your eye on the blades, then sidestep when the blade goes into the wall you're facing.

No problem.

I doubt it's the only technique to do it, but I've found it's the approach that works best for me :)

I just stood as far as I could to the side. Then when the blade passes away from you move a little forward. Rinse and repeat. Pretty easy.

Then again I am used to many FPS-games :D. Still; this technique should also work easily for you.
Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?
Oh wait, I already got one...

I just stood in the center, facing the blades, and waited until a blade went to the side, then stepped forward, paused, until the blade was moving behind me and I was sure I wasn't going to die. Then I saved, and repeated with the next blade. I still died a couple times (but from accidentally running into the next blade, not from getting cut by the blade which I was trying to pass).

I would've thought that if you were turned sideways, you would be more likely to get killed, since your shoulders and arms would stick into the blades.

In reality, maybe, but in Deus Ex your collision is a cylinder :p

I always assumed it was more of a cube than a cylinder :)

Everything in Deus Ex (except movers like doors) is a cylinder when it comes to collision. It's been quite painful to work with.

I thought the blades were a lot of fun. They required patience (As you could not make it all the way through it one run) And they required more skill then normal. I went with the small sprints option and was facing the next blade.

Don't forget to start shooting your shotgun when you're one ax short of entering the room. The karkians will hear this, and try to charge you through the axes.

Don't really think so. The walkway there is kinda small. Along with the blades, the karkians would never make it. Though you can chase them in there or "spawnmass mib 100" for some fun :D

No, it definitely works for the first karkian. Remember, you're not firing at them from the other side of ALL the axes. Just the last one, where you can easily look beyond the single swinging blade into the room. Wound the first karkian, and chances are he'll charge you. He doesn't stand up well to the last swinging axe any better than Trestkon.

I admit this isn't too effective for karkians beyond the first --- the position behind the first axe is far enough away from them that it's hard to goad them into charging.
