Okay, we determined that my digital download copy of Deus Ex would not work with The Nameless Mod. So I purchased another disc copy of Deus and uninstalled the d2d version. I also tried to uninstall The Nameless Mod (which apparently was successfully installed on the hard drive but would not open).
Unfortunately, TNM simply will not uninstall. I tried using the AutoLauncher, tried using Add/Remove Programs, tried just deleting all the folders. Nothing.
When I put in the disc the "Install TNM" option is grayed out, but clicking anything else leads me nowhere. What am I doing wrong now?
*SIGH* Okay, so I finally got the thing to install (it took over 2 hrs, for some reason!)
Now when I start TNM the main menu comes up as a big white square dancing around to the theme music. Lots of other white line segments go flashing by, but clicking will not bring up the "New Game, Load Game, Etc."
The only way to get out of this bizarre white square world is to hit the Windows button to return to the desktop and close the program, which obviously stops responding.
Mad props to you, Comrade Jonas! Soooo, if I were to go back and change my regular DX renderer to OpenGL, would that make it TNM work with the GL renderer as well (not to get greedy, but ya know...)
