How to animate something in Milkshape 3d

Post by Morpheus »

Can someone tell me how to animate a mesh in Milkshape 3d? I have been searching for tutorials and none of them have been all that helpful. Basically I have this: http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9364/starshipl.jpg I am working on for my Star Trek mod: and its a star ship and I wanted to make a "going to warp" animation where the warp nacelles go down and the mesh streaches as its in warp then goes back to the shape you see it in the image. Basically would like three animations, one going into warp (the warp nacelles go down) and the second animation, the stretched out ship, as its in warp and the last starting with the warp nacelles down, then going back up as it comes out of warp.

Have not animated in Milkshape before and don't know where to begin. I know it might be to do with joints but that is it.
