DX Cats don't like water?

Post by Delta2501 »

Just saw this bizarre video on youtube. Do the physics defying felines means Deus Ex attracted cat-lovers like Jonas even during the development phase?

Friends, If cats flew that high when dropped into large amounts of water like that, Do you think I would be here posting this?

I wish they did, it'd make a great display.
Paul, I know you said no phone messages, but South Street's going up in smoke. We'll have to meet at the subway station.

I suspect (would have to check, tho) that their buoyancy is higher than their mass, probably due to laziness (mass would be manually specified in the cat class, buoyancy inherited from scriptedpawn). So they enter the water at a given velocity, the "buoyancy vs mass" calculation works out that they should clearly be floating, so applies an acceleration in the reverse direction, but because the buoyancy is significantly higher, this means they come out at the surface travelling FASTER than they went in, and..well: hilarity ensues.

Probably because he's had to mess around with it.

Yeah, DDL is right. That's the Buoyancy the problem.
--> Mass=10.00
--> Buoyancy=97.00
--> FoodClass=Class'DeusExCarcass' (WTF!!!)
