It's worth it, even vanilla FO3 is great, way better than vanilla Oblivion.

Are there any mods out that enhance this (already great) game? I saw one called Welcome to the Wasteland that wanted to add some realism to the wasteland, but I'm already being challenged on vanilla normal as it is, so I don't think I'll touch that mod for a while.

For a total of 643 mods, visit Fallout3Nexus, I would be willing to bet there is at least one mod on there that you will love.

There is this mod = http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=506 I haven't tried it, I want to but I'm in the middle of a game and would rather start a new one before trying this out, it sounds pretty good and what I wanted originally but yeah not sure if it will be too hard.

In fact the game world itself doesn't need to be changed, just set the mod after DX's Tracer Tong ending or IW's Omar ending.
Actually I considered doing that with World in Conflict, basically Libery Island (you can destroy the statue in this game, Mission Objective for the MJ12 :D) == Deus Ex's, All the troopers just have Unatco, MJ12 and NSF uniforms, All the armored units are changed to Mechs, the sky is always night time, and then disable NUKES/TAS abilities. That'd only cover the first level though :D.

Fix the fucking game before you make an expansion. The game is still broken even though I've worked around most of the bugs.

(I don't think rootbeer was asking Bethesda, Mr CP..I think he was asking modding teams -I suspect Bethesda have had access to the fallout3 editor for..quite some time now)

I think they worked directly on the code level, and the editor was only developed after the game was released.

No, really.

Yeah, I remember reading an article about some Bethesda art-person getting a burnout after making a mistake when entering his model in all ones and zeroes and his entire computer crashed, taking the model with it. Working conditions were atrocious.
