Could anybody tell me how to do whatever's necessary to put Ford Schick back in, after you rescue him? I don't want to use Shifter because I dislike several things it adds.

summon fordschick on the appropriate level.

Also
summon augmentationupgradecannister.

Since he supposedly gives you one in the dialogue, but because it's broken you don't get the cannister.

Yeah, he's meant to. I read somewhere that it was done as a kind of tribute to him.
