Pfft, as if your average PS3 owner doesn't already have a Windows PC capable of playing the original game at probably 1/3 - 1/2 the price they'd be charging for a PS3 port.

Its fine to be a Deus Ex fan, but that doesn't mean you have to completely ignore every other game release for the last decade. There's a lot of good stuff on the PS2, not in the least because its the PS2 version of Deus Ex they're competing with.
There are some fantastic games on the PS2, quite alot actually. But I always thought even the PS2 version of DX smashed em, and I only played DX late in the PS2s lifespan (2006) So I had already played all the decent releases.
Still PS2 was a decent console, it was the next generation when everything was swallowed by the Evil corporations and devs apparently stopped trying.

Nah man Tetris was the last real game, everybody totally sold out after that.
It's just like the movie industry - after Citizen Kane, film makers just stopped trying.

Hey no sarcasm, either MOST have stopped trying or MOST these days just lack talent or understanding of what makes a game fun.
In my opinion though most film makers fail these recent years too, and most music artists. Am I blind to real talent? I dont think so.

I'm pretty sure the millions of people buying games are doing it because they find the games fun. There's no other reason to buy them other than enjoyment, after all.
Okay I can respect the sentiment that the mainstream caters to the lowest common denominator and you have more refined tastes, it's a little arrogant but it might still be true, but try not to make it some kind of condescending class war, please.

Corporate old men have taken over the industry. The suits up in Washington. Even the mayor and his three daughters are sick of the grey gaming draught.
It is not always grey though, but usually one colour palette overused. I fail to appreciate the "art" in that. Bland, dull, repetitious. Must admit it works sometimes though, depends on the game/theme/set location.
But most of the time, fail.
