That doesn't make any sense, unless the monkeys only get to eat one by one, so that when one finishes, the next can start.
That must be the assumption than.

Yep i suppose, but i argued that if it took 1 monkey 1 minute then 6 monkeys would still eat a banana each in 1 minute, but maybe it's one where the person asking the question is more interested in how we come to our conclusions.Hated that at school:d

New riddle for you:
A box without hinges, key or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.
What is it? Way to easy I know...

I'd been thinking of that set myself but I don't have a copy handy, let alone an English one.

The source is The Hobbit by Tolkien, and the box is an egg.

Well pardon me for posting 2 minutes too late. I see now that you're meant to use Google. My mistake, I thought you were supposed to figure it out yourself.

You're right Jonas, but posting 2 minutes late means you could just have looked at the post above you... :)
Also: A box is not a specific Shape Bobby, although I have to admit, it sometimes seems like it

Actually I couldn't, for some reason the forums have apparently stopped informing me when somebody's posted since I clicked Reply. I'm doing 5 other things at the moment so you'll excuse me for leaving the reply window open for a while.

But hey, there was no prize so I'll kick up no further fuss about it.
