Linking to Off-Site Avatars
I've disabled linking to off-site avatars due to the rather vast range of sizes that people have been using.
To make up for it I've enabled uploading of avatars 100*100 pixels and 10kb in size. I may also add some avatars to the currently empty avatar galleries.

Ummm it was like 115x350...and if it took up half your screen, I suggest you raise your screen res to something higher than 640x480.Trestkon wrote:Dude, your avatar took up half my freaking screen. It had to be at least 600*600.ThalesA7X wrote:Yes it is possible but it is up to him to do it. I honestly saw nothing wrong with the size of my avatar but that isn't my choice.
Size limit raised to 40kb.
Do not give the admin cheek. He was obviously employing a hyperbole, and with your weak attempt at sarcasm, you have instead demonstrated a sad lack of wit. 115x350 is rather a lot for an avatar, and if Trestkon has judged that it is too much, Trestkon is in his good right to limit the avatar size on his board.
Stop the martyr act and throw together a new avatar, 100x100 pixels and 40 kb should be enough for a pretty decent picture

Oh hell. You are right. It wasn't that big until right before you PMed me. I had forgotten that I overwrote the file on my hosting with the larger sized one. I forgot that I was linking to it on this forum because I usually don't link to offsite avatar.
It wasn't that big for long.
oops?
haha and it is 800x600
at first it was a smal picture. I made sure it wasn't over 150x250-300 before i used it

Well, you can always upload the old picture if you still have it. And maybe an apology is in order
