The new Call of Duty engine revealed

Here are a few points I wrote down while watching the video...
Fundamental revamp of CoD technology
According to Digital Foundry, it sounds like work on the new engine started around 5 years ago (link)
Engine has been retooled for an eye for real-life accuracy
State of the art physically based rendering system built on exploiting photogrammetry
Big boost to geometry output, delivering over five times the geometry of prior series entries
Advanced culling algorithm
Procedural boosts of geometry via tessellation on characters
Lighting also receives a profound upgrade. Every single light-source within the game is volumetric in nature
Able to adjust the density of the atmosphere to the point of including dust motes simulating the effects of humility or introducing ground level fog
God rays are not post-processing, but actual results of accurately rendering volumetric lights beaming through geometry
Spectral rendering. A system that sees CoD render everything in real-time beyond the visible light spectrum (infrared and thermal heat radiation).
