Moving from USA to EU

Post by CashiWaku »

In a few years, I might need to move to the EU. If I want to bring 10-20 orchids from my personal collection, aside from a phytosanitary certificate, is there anything else I require? Can I just bring it in luggage? And what does the certificate require? Has anyone done this?

If your move hasn’t yet taken place, you need to understand that each particular country has its own requirements. Before traveling, check all possible customs restrictions. As for orchids specifically, I know for a fact they require a phytosanitary certificate. Also find out what`s the limit of transport of plants allowed, to carry different types of goods from one group of plants is possible, but don’t forget about the percentage of some items to others. Within the country I checked this issue with different companies, the closest for me was moving services nj, but I only had three pots of plants at the time, so my case wasn't as challenging.
