Rotary Table Query

Post by Jess55 »

I have just bought this 6" rotary table to complement the Harrison, it was £60 as it needs cleaning up, but I thought that was a good price.
Instructions on the info plate say to me this is the disengagement of the worm gear, but I think I am missing something, is the locking lever missing?
Overall, it was stiff upon turning but a quick WD has freed it up and will put more effort into it as there is no backlash and looks decent quality.

Thanks in advance.

It's normal to have missing stuff when buying something like that. I hope you got it to work!

It sounds like you got a great deal, even if it needs some cleaning.
As for the locking lever, it's possible that it's missing or that there's another way to engage or disengage the worm gear. It's easier to say for sure if you see the rotary table in person. I've got a rotary table machine and never had such an issue. You might try looking for a manual online for rotary rigs or reaching out to the manufacturer for more information.
