YouTube channel "Journey to the Microcosmos"

Post by BenyDarlee »

This channel came to my attention today. It has been around for several years, but I do not find any prior references in our forum.

"Journey to the Microcosmos", channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBbnbB ... jLGUwX5Q3g .

Most recent video, "We Upgraded Our Microscope... Again!" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiKZr3YvzUM .

Another fairly recent, "Bursaria: Giant Gravity-Sensing Vacuums" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyV3iKiP_1g .

This latter one coins a new word, curiotaxis, as in
But to get to the bottom of it, we, as a species, need to keep searching and learning and discovering. That's what we do. The way microbes have chemotaxis and gravitaxis, humans maybe have, curiotaxis. We can sense what we do and do not know, and we can allow ourselves to be drawn away from or toward those things.
I like that thought. Tune in at 8:28 to hear the original.

To my eye, these videos are really well done. I expect to be spending a lot of time with these folks.

Oh yeah, I stumbled across Journey to the Microcosmos a few months back. It's super cool! The way they zoom into the tiny world and make it all big and interesting is awesome. That Bursaria video you mentioned is one of my favorites too. The idea of curiotaxis is so neat, right? Makes you think about how we're all curious in our own way.

I love finding YouTube channels that turn learning into something fun and visually amazing. It's like a mini-adventure every time you watch one of their videos. They really know their stuff and you can tell they love sharing it.

By the way, if you ever think about starting a YouTube channel yourself, I heard there's a way to get cheap youtube likes to help get your videos noticed. Could be handy if you're just starting out and want to get a little boost.
