I have a better Deus Ex icon I'd like to submit

See for yourself:

I don't know where to host .ICO files, but I will email it to anyone who wants it. Just send me a request at darkreality@gmail.com. It's 8KB or so, so though I'm on Dialup I won't mind sending it off to a few people.

Note that I did not make this icon. I think it came in a desktop theme or something. But when I install DX, I use this icon, replacing the original. So I was surprised that HDTP used a graphically inferior one.

I don't speak for HDTP, but contact the creator of the theme. Maybe HDTP will take an icon donation from him. As it is, the icon is copyrighted and would cause legal problems in distribution. Otherwise you could link the theme if anyone wants to use the icon for themselves.

They are both good but I prefer the first one. I like how it is partially in the shadows.

All those icons were made in GIMP? Maybe its time I reconsidered learning that program...or maybe its time I learned some .NET so I can get back into REAL programming, and THEN learn GIMP to make Icons for said programs...

I use GIMP 2 at work because I don't want to install a pirated Photoshop on my computer and there's no way my job justifies getting me a license. It works fine, it's a lot different from PS and PSP, but it can do a lot of things once you get used to it.
