Comments on new site

The new site should be up and working, (mostly). It's missing a bit of content and there's still a few things to iron out, but it should be a good solution for now.

Pre-emptive FAQ:
Q) Why does there to be missing content?
A) Because I was just doing the code, and although I put on most of the text from the old content, I am leaving it to the others to do the rest of it.

Q) Why did we even need a new site?
A) Because we need to have a "front" for our project, to attract people who might help us finish it. To do that it needs to be functional, easy to maintain and update, and most importantly, it loads much faster, instead of leaving you with a grey screen while 250KB of flash content loads.

Q) Where is the 'Latest Pictures' thing that was on the old site?
A) I am working on a way to have this without having to edit the source code or something equally disfunctional.

Great layout, but it's not nearly as fancy-looking as the old flash site. I know it's just temporary, but I just thought I'd tell you that I think that's just what it should be.

Only suggestion I have is to make the Forum link more prominent. But that may not be a good idea, what do you I know?

Layout is simple and nice, but I don't like the green in the DX logo too much.

to be honest, neither do I... but metche seems to have some problem with blue.

The green looks OK, blue would probably be more DX-ish but green is good. The plain text "Project HTDP" directly under it looks kinda crap, but that's one of the things that's done last.

Thank god the flash is going, this site looks good. I especially like the white text on black, it's done well, my browser automatically does that to all sites though (I got sick of the badly designed sites I couldn't read, you know, red text on blue background kinda thing). I'd say the text on the left should be a bit bigger....don't know what else to suggest, looks good.

I'd sugest not cropping the DX logo quite so much, currently a lot of the glow is chopped off.

You say its finished enough but theres less content than on there than before! Yes its faster, and good on you I say, but wheres the videos of the terrorist deaths and running and such? New screens/videos of new models and textures! Where are they? Thats what impresses people and rallies support!

I like the new site a lot. Much better speed wise.

I'm sure Metche will let you use what colours you like, if not I'll talk to her.

The logo looks much better I think.

IMHO it looks better with the background being solid black, but if I'm the only one that believes that then don't give it a thought ;-). I don't like yellow as a colour, but it really makes the links stand out.
