It's not about HDTP it's about TNM.

Where'd you visit? You should have told me, I could have arranged a VIP tour of Canada on the back of a polar bear, with a moose escort!

Moose kick ass. Often times the moose wins moose vs. car. Even when that isn't the case, the car still loses. Moose are tough.

I'm now going to tell a story. Why? Because I can.

A moose can be particularly disturbing when you find yourself face to nose with one on a mountain trail in the middle of the night. (Leson to be learned: start climbing the mountain early as the daylight doesn't wait.) What surprised me though was that a moment before my mother had been standing there. Turns out my mother and I had different training, she had been taught, "If you meet a moose, get out of the way," and as such moved faster than the eye could see out of the way and off of the trail. I had been taught, "If you meet a wild animal, don't spook it." They drilled into me that under no circumstances should one make sudden movements. As such I did not jump off the trail. I'm mildly proud of my actions. I looked that the moose, said, "Hi moose," and stepped out of the way.

I tell that story whenever moose are brought up. It is entirely true, if not very interesting.

I think some British guys beat you to it :P

So Moose is both singular as well as plural? I would like to coin 'Meese' as plural. As in: "Oh god, those meese are coming right at us!"

Many have tried. What makes you think you can succeed where all others have failed?

I'm foreign and as such an authority on the subject of meese. Similarly, I suggest that the plural of house will be hice, but somehow that hasn't catched on yet.

I think you will find the established elitist English garde will regard houses as correct, but tell me, why is it mice and not hice? If enough people will use hice, it will be hice.

The queen uses "hice".

.....but to refer to a single house. Yay royal accents.

LOL ....meese ...LOL

I visited Toronto - and LOVED it. I have family in Mississauga so we were pretty close to Toronto by car. I adore Canada and I'm seriously thinking of living there one day. Either there or somewhere in the US (not visited the us yet so I'm keeping my options open). So watch out. Metche is coming to a town near you!

Perhaps when the plural for 'rouse' will be 'rice'. Untill then I keep on eating it...
