If detail is the best thing in the world then just use Poser models. They are very detailed!

Oh come on. The Deus Ex world is already blocky. The character models could be as "low" poly as 1500 polygons yet still look good.

I'm nobody and know nothing so I'll just shut up this time. You guys know what you are doing.

Taken out of context, this is very funny.

The thing is, I can't use smoothgroups. If I could, the models would be a lot lower, for instance the armour would be lower because I wouldn't have to model the indents and stuff. Plus the added polys help A LOT with lighting in game which is the main reason I add so much detail.

I still haven't got round to optimizing him as I needed to work on a few other things but I will get round to it soon.

I'll render some more shots in a sec.

This is a pretty cool image in terms of textures, look at the Ballistic Armor.

I'm not going to post the image, because it's huge.

Hey Phamastis, can you post a picture of the original JC sideways, facing the right, same as the new? Wait a sec, I think there's already one here.

Ummm.... what? Do you mean to suggest that the final model will be flat-shaded? :?

Looking better each time, but I think the nasolabial fold needs to be made a bit stronger. Looking forward to the hair!

He means he can't use more than one smoothing group.

Smooth will be working on the texture so that's nothing to do with me. :P

I really hate that version of JC. He just looks young and fat.

Phamastis, what program do you use for modelling?
Also, the second picture of the new (perfect) JC seems to be dead-linked.
