Ahh, okay, I wondered if it was intentional. I don't remember the original taking as long to be stowed, but hey, fair enough.

Just my thoughts but, I thought the crowbar could be kinda redder.
And when Gunther sits down his neck seems to pulse

Just thought I'd pop in and say that as of yesterday, HDTP has been downloaded 1171 times!!

And that's only from the OTP mirror.

I gotta say, I'm not loving the new pimped-out chrome baton. It looks like JC is waving a radio antenna around when he has it equipped. Yes, chrome batons do exist, but the original model isn't one. By HDTP's own mandate this is a change that shouldn't have been made.

Are you talking about the borked crowbars in the demo map or the proper crowbars in the single-player game? The two are not identical, check the single-player one before you get all grumpy.

Okay read that comment again. Now, think about it. Think really really hard.

Gunther isn't a robot. He's a cyborg.

And in this context, "mechanical" is a synonym for "unnatural". There is a certain natural motion to bipedal movement, whether organic or machine, that the current updated model is not conveying.

Uhm... so he is. Disregard then.

I like the way Gunther moves though. I like it a lot.

Me too. I'm tempted to try and modify his footstep sounds to be something closer to the military bots' THUNCH THUNCH THUNCH effect.

But that might be too much of a modification...

Also, ZB: the new baton isn't metal, it's blue shiny plasticy stuff, just like the original. In fact, the 3rd person mesh is EXACTLY the same mesh, unchanged, so any differences in the 3rd person are entirely of your own imagination.

You have to wonder what that baton is made out of to do more damage wacking an enemy with a rod than stabbing him with the combat knife.

Ah but it's 'knocked out' damage, so it's not really very 'damaging'.. :?

Also, discovered that the lab flask doesn't work either. Another fcking spelling mistake.

Arse.

That's a shame, it works fine in the demo map, where it looks ace.

How soon do you think we should release the 'fix0red' version?

Give in another few days for bug spotting?

I've been thinking about the crow bar animation and really it's impossible to get it realistic considering you are trying to be faithful to the original. Really it should have been longer more powerful sweeps rather than quick taps. It's times like this when I wish I understood how to do it my self. :(
