You need to apply the 1112fm patch first. As far as I know, the GotY version is not 1112fm. I may be wrong though, as I believe there are uh a couple of different GotY versions out there ( ](*,) ) so check your main menu to see what version you're using.

first of all i just want to thank all of the hdtp team for putting hard work itno a great cause.
even in the first relese the textures/models look so professional. keep up the great work people your mod is awsome!

now to my problem :(

i installed deues ex and patched to lastest version. i did the training and first level. i then installed the hdtp first relese and fixed the cache ini thing. it worked great but after a few mins of playing the screen would flicker black and the game would skip and jump. i fixed this problem by simply switching to the desktop and switching back to deus ex. i did this about 5 times untill the game finally crashed showing this error

critical error!
Genrel protection fualt!
History: DispatchMessage <- 000B020A 28 <- MessagePump <- MainLoop

i have no idea what this means and any help would be GREATLY appreciated

p.s im on xp and dont have deul cores

Well, you could post your log file (should be in the system folder, HDTP.log or something), but it sounds to me like something more general, rather than HDTP-specific.

Have you tried playing non-HDTP DX through the first level to check whether the same thing occurs?

yes i did and the same problem occured. so its not a hdtp problem i think my pc is just stuffed haha (whats new?)

and i am using a nahghty version of deus ex (i downloaded the goty it of mininova) so thats a nother reason why it could be playing up.

owell thanks for the help guys it doesnt bother that much as i can play it for about 20 mins at a time.

and man playing hdtp f**king rocks!

p.s when is the a new relese or the full pack coming out?

p.p.s if you guys got this mod working 100% you should talk to publisher/delvoperers and re-realese deus ex as all new and improved....i would pay for a stable boxed full version of desus ex with hdtp pre-installed. you guys could make some money
im sure heaps of other ppl would love to play deus ex again....as you guys have made it look like a new game

When I was told TNM betatesting would start soon I realized my Deus Ex CD was scratched beyond use and bought a new one. For 50 cents. Is there really any call to illegally download at this stage?

The textures work in the game but I can't play the demo level.

I type in open 00_HDTP_Demo.dx from the spinning DeusEx symbol using the normal startup not the HDTP one, like it says in the instructions but nothing happens, some writing flashes up very briefly which I suspect is saying it can't find the map or url but it's too quick to see.

Try moving all the .u files from DeusEx\HDTP\System to DeusEx\System.

The only one is deusex.u and when I rmove that it doesn't work at all
But when I load the HTDP from the HDTP launcher it works! but not the demo!?

HDTPanim is a .utx file.

I suspect the installer has placed it in Deusex\HDTP\textures, rather than Deusex\textures....probably because I didn't tell Trestkon to make the installer do that, because I'm an idiot.

So find it in the HDTP textures folder and move or copy it to your core textures folder.

Sorry. :(
