Beta Textures to do:
Hi, if you notice any textures which have not yet been updated past vanilla on the 3d models in the game could you please list them here so I can get on and make some new ones.
Thus far I have created new textures for:
Police boat
Control Panel
Satellite dish
Security terminal
Med kit
Soy food
Binoculars
To do:
Switch 2
lockpick
Anything else you notice please list.

The hand on the first person prod needs updating also - although looking at it a few times, not sure if it does or its meant to look like that.

There are a ton of switches and buttons in dx, could you be more specific?
Switch1? Switch2? Lightswitch? Button1?
I'm going to hazard a guess at switch2, since that's one we don't have a texture for.

It looked alright the couple of times I've used the prod.
The tall light stands as found in the clinic. Not that they look out of place as is.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but since this might come under a texture update if touched at all, just curious to why this is, when you hold an item, weapon etc... JC's hands appear brown, however, there is only one face/hands texture where JC his skin is that color (one slightly darker white skin tone) and the rest he is a white guy, so why would JC's hands have that skin color when the rest of him isn't? I know it doesn't make that much of a difference really, just something I noticed.

I thought most of the small generic items were already done (at least one layer of them). For guidance on your request, load up the original HDTP demo map and then poke around. It's a museum-type map which has the original put together with the HDTP-texture they had in that version. I wonder if a list can be produced off that map and then compared with a list of all the textures to produce what HDTP is currently missing?

I coded stuff up (and made special textures) to address exactly this issue. Each and every weapon now checks for what skintone JC has and then reskins the hand appropriately.
I just don't understand why it's not working for you?

Seems to work fine on my end.
Started a game with albino JC, activated the pistol, saw the appropriate white skin color on the 1st person hands, used 'legend' to go to 01_NYC_UNATCOHQ, saw the appropriate hand color in the third person mirror reflection as well. Started a new game on the spot, going through all the other appearances. All hand colors seemed to match.

JC remains albino but his right hand, when it has an equipped weapon, is a bronzed Aussie's. It was darker in vanilla DX anyway wasn't it? The black JC's weapon hand is a few shades darker I think, like I said the JC I have has a bronzed Aussie look but he's not the albino version just your everyday variety of white dude.

Just checked, it works fine on the Albino JC (have never really played as albino JC before so didn't know you changed that), what I actually mean is this. On the default JC, he has pink skin tone, but first person equipped weapon hands are still brown (Was going to post a screenshot earlier but the sshot thing doesn't work for me for some reason to get shots and print screen wasn't working well either until I went off fullscreen and did this.Dude, what.

I suspect it's a lighting/renderer issue, then. What looks hugely different texturewise looks subtle/nonexistent in-game.
Also, the weapon hands are default (i.e. original) if you have default skin. It's just that the new default skin is paler than the original. Probably.
If anyone wants to make better weaponshandstexes, be my guest.
